Max is an entertainment attorney, musician, and the founder of Action Potential Entertainment, LLC. He has worked with dozens of musicians, artists, filmmakers, and small businesses in the New Orleans creative community.

Before founding Action Potential Entertainment, Max was an artist manager and booking agent - representing some of New Orleans’ most exciting funk, jazz, and indie rock artists - as well as a concert promoter. Prior to that, he served as a summer associate at Chadbourne & Parke (now Norton Rose Fulbright) in New York City, and was an intern with the Entertainment Law Legal Assistance ("ELLA") Project and the New Orleans BioInnovation Center, while obtaining his law degree from Tulane University. In law school, Max was an editor of the Tulane Law Review, president of the Tulane Entertainment & Art Law Society, and student attorney with the Tulane Civil Litigation Clinic.

Max has developed and regularly presents copyright workshops for musicians, visual artists, and filmmakers. He has spoken on intellectual property and contract matters at the University of New Orleans, Tulane University, New Orleans Video Access Center (NOVAC), Joan Mitchell Center, Propeller Incubator, and the Where Y'Art Gallery. Since arriving in New Orleans in 2012, Max has been actively involved in the music, film, and art communities of New Orleans, as a member of a local band, a volunteer with the New Orleans Film Festival, a member of various Mardi Gras marching krewes, and myriad other activities.

He is currently a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and is a registered Louisiana Notary Public.

Outside of practicing law, Max spends his time reading, playing bass, drums and guitar, writing music. He also enjoys cooking, yoga, and getting outdoors as much as possible.
